Liam Curtiss is graduating from University Preparatory High School this spring and will study applied math at UC Berkeley in the fall. He hopes to continue pursuing his passion for music by playing cello in the university orchestra.

He has studied with Dr. Valerie Walden for eleven years, and performed orchestra music under Mr. Jeff Fritz for nearly as long. In his sophomore and junior years of high school, Liam was one of a select few musicians to perform with the California High School All-State Symphony Orchestra, and he was the first chair cellist for the Tulare-Kings High School Honor Orchestra for three years. 

When he's not playing the cello, Liam enjoys hiking sections of the John Muir Trail, reading fantasy and philosophy books, running, and spending time with his friends and family.
